Carp Courses Tuition session are for all ages and abilities, from children to OAP’S, Sessions are tailored to suit your individual needs; sessions are from two hours and above. Tuition on techniques, rig construction and their mechanisms, casting and spodding, playing and landing a fish, fish care, plumbing and marker techniques, water craft and which is the best swim and how to get the most from it - our turorials are second to none.
Working towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award and birthday parties can be catered for, Some examples of what you may want your session to include:

All of these courses can be tailored to suit your needs and tuition is also available on individual topics.
Carp Schools
Carp Schools have become very popular with the up and coming carp angler. We cater for young people on this event between the ages of 12-17 and can take up to 20 per school. The event runs for four days, where the young people get to meet some of the stars in carp angling, camp out and night fish. Every aspect of carp fishing is covered, starting with fish care, rig tying and mechanisms, in depth conversation on bait, casting and spodding, feature finding and surface fishing just to name a few of the topics.
All tutors are CRB checked, certificated in first aid and all are aware of the Child Protection Act, also Debbie Jones from Gloucestershire Youth Service comes along to meet the young people and to explain about other rural skills projects that she participated in and ran and how a project of this nature brings about a great awareness and knowledge of rural skills, she is an experienced and ideal candidate for working with young people as she has a very non-judgemental approach and can help raise confidence and self-esteem levels of the young people.
Younger anglers and those wishing to learn can have a good day out
Educational days are aimed at the younger students, ranging from aged 7-11. We start with pond dipping, catching different types of water insects and small fish, which are then taken back to be analysed, looking through books, dvds and magnifying glasses to find out what they are and their purposes, we also go through different water fowl, where the young people can copy pictures from books and then go walking around the lake to see if they can find their chosen bird. The few hours left at the end of the session are used for some general coarse fishing with small poles and whips making it very easy for the novice angler. At the end of the day every young person that has taken part will go away with a piece of knowledge, something that they have learnt from that day, whether it is how do identify a type of bird or how to fish, personal satisfaction and development.
